Mobile Roundup: What’s New?

Mobile Advertising:

As of right now, Google’s Android platform is the lead in mobile advertising, with about 48 percent of all ads. According to Millennial Media, this may not soon be the case because the popularity of Apple’s Verizon iPhone. Apple saw a 17 percent growth in just the past month alone which now makes its share up to 31 percent. Check out this article by Mobiledia to find more details: http://bit.ly/fOgMZL. It should be interesting to watch how this battle for advertising pans out especially since tablet usage is on the rise.

iPhone News:

  • Suppliers to Apple have begun production of a white iPhone and the product should be ready in about a month or so. This white version will be made available to both AT&T and Verizon customers. http://reut.rs/f0d0O8
  • The new iPhone 5 on the other hand is rumored to begin production this fall. September is rumored to be the starting month and the actual selling date is not to be expected the earliest fall, but more likely sometime in 2012. http://on-msn.com/ev3GOy

This leads me to again ask some questions- Android or iPhone? White or black? What is your preference?
